Your private party ‘room’ is a train carriage Cafeteria Car
This carriage was built in 1947 at the South Australian Railways Islington Workshop, initially used on the East-West Express between Adelaide and Port Pirie and restored by Museum volunteers. This wonderful carriage oozes with character and is situated within the heart of the museum. Bring your own party food and drinks and decorations to suit the occasion. Party package and how much does it cost
Weekend (Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays) Birthday Party Package
For the fee of $250, you get exclusive use of the carriage for up to 30 people and access the Museum and its attractions, including free train rides. There is a maximum of 20 extras permitted, at a cost, above the 30 people booked, bringing the booking to 50 people total, but no guests over the limit of 50 are permitted for Cafe Car bookings.
The carriage comes with catering facilities i.e. fridges, pie warmer, micro-wave, jug and is air-conditioned.
